Honoring Heroes at the 3rd Annual Honor and Remember Run

Huntingburg, IN - August, 26, 2023 - Veterans, active military, emergency personnel, and more people in the community gathered on August 26, 2023 for the 3rd annual Honor and Remember 5k/10k trail run/Ruck Run hosted by OFS. The run honored military veterans, their families, and all of those who died during 9/11. All proceeds from the Honor and Remember Run were donated to further the national mission of the Honor and Remember organization, a non-profit that recognizes and pays tribute to the sacrifice of America’s military fallen service members and their families.

To honor and remember the 13 service members who lost their lives getting fellow Americans and Afghans out of harm’s way, the race also included an option for a 13-mile ruck run with 22 honor pullups + pushups after each of the 2 laps around the course to bring awareness that 22 veterans that commit suicide daily.
